What to Expect After You Order

After placing your order for a Loveprint Jewelry piece, you’ll receive a Loveprint To-Go Kit. Each kit includes the soft wax materials needed to create your unique print, the first step in crafting your one-of-a-kind keepsake.

Each kit includes everything you need:

Soft waxes for making your impressions
Wax paper and labeled containers
Step-by-step instructions
A prepaid return mailer

Your kit arrives beautifully packaged and ready to use — no tools required. It’s a small but powerful way to pause, connect, and preserve a moment that will soon become a timeless keepsake jewelry piece.

At Loveprint Jewelry, every piece begins with a single, meaningful touch. Creating your fingerprint jewelry is a simple and personal experience, one that connects you to the artistry behind every pendant, bracelet, or keepsake. Using our soft wax impression kit, you’ll capture the print of someone you love. From there, our artisans transform it into a lasting piece of keepsake jewelry, handcrafted in a precious metal of your choice.

Please review the included instructions carefully or watch the “How-To” video above to ensure the best possible print. Loveprint To-Go Kits never expire, so you can take your time capturing the perfect impression. Below are instructions of what's included in your kit.

STEP 1:

SOFTEN THE WAX

Warm a cup of water to the temperature of a comfortable hot drink, but not boiling.

Place the wax balls into the water for about 15–20 seconds until soft.

Remove and gently roll the wax between your fingers until pliable, repeating if necessary.

Once soft, roll it into a smooth ball and place it on the provided wax paper. Work quickly — the wax will begin to cool and harden as soon as it’s removed from the water.

STEP 2:

MAKE THE IMPRESSION

With the soft wax centered on the wax paper, press your thumb flat onto the soft wax and gently roll the thumb from side to side as if doing an ink impression. Make certain that you are imprinting the entire thumb, not just the tip. About halfway down our thumb is our “whorl”’ pattern which gives our prints their distinction. Be sure to include this portion.

Gently lift your thumb off the wax, making certain that you do not slide your finger across the wax. Check the print in good lighting. You should see clear ridges and swirls.

If needed, re-soften the wax and try again. You can reuse each wax ball until you’re happy with your print.

STEP 3:

PACKYOUR PRINT IMPRESSION

Allow the wax to cool completely. Once firm, fold the wax paper gently over the impression without pressing down.

Place the wax and paper inside the provided container and label it with the individual’s name or initials. Store in a cool place or refrigerator until shipping.

STEP 4:

SHIP YOUR PRINT IMPRESSION

Pack your labeled containers securely in the original box (or another small box — please avoid padded envelopes). Attach the prepaid mailer and drop it off at USPS.

Once we receive your wax impressions, our artisans cast them in silver or gold, polish them by hand, and finish them to your specifications. Your final Loveprint keepsake is a beautiful, tangible reminder of life’s most meaningful connections preserved forever in precious metal.
